Se asocian efectos positivos en la aterosclerosis con antioxidantes como la <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Curcuma longa L.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En un estudio publicado en 2003 en la revista \u201cThe International Journal of Applied and Basic Nutritional Sciences\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0899900703000935?via%3Dihubse\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0899900703000935?via%3Dihubse<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">demostr\u00f3 que la oxidaci\u00f3n de las membranas de eritrocitos de un grupo de conejos al que se le administr\u00f3 un extracto hidroalcoh\u00f3lico de c\u00farcuma, fue considerablemente menor y ocurri\u00f3 lo mismo con los niveles de hidroper\u00f3xidos y sustancias reactivas al \u00e1cido tiobarbit\u00farico en los microsomas hep\u00e1ticos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Los resultados del estudio evidencian c\u00f3mo la administraci\u00f3n oral de extractos de C. longa disminuye la sensibilidad a la oxidaci\u00f3n de los eritrocitos y las membranas de los microsomas hep\u00e1ticos.
