El III Congreso Internacional de Arqueología Bayra: “Ciudad o Madina: los espacios urbanos medievales y postmedievales” se celebrará en Vera (Almería) entre el 13 y el 15 de mayo de 2026; organizado por el Ayuntamiento de Vera, la Universidad de Granada y el Grupo de Investigación Producción Intercambio Materialidad PRINMA (HUM 1035). Colaboran: Proyecto FCT-24-21462 Conectando Pasado y Futuro: Ciencia y Tecnología para la difusión del Patrimonio Arqueológico Medieval (CITPAM), Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades y la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología.
Tras el éxito de la primera y segunda edición, el III Congreso Internacional de Arqueología Bayra reunirá a especialistas en arqueología, arqueología de la arquitectura y disciplinas afines para debatir sobre la ciudad y la vivienda en la Edad Media y la Edad Moderna. El Congreso busca fomentar el intercambio de ideas, la presentación de resultados y la creación de redes de colaboración. Además, se dedicará una jornada a la puesta en valor del patrimonio, reflexionando sobre la gestión, financiación y futuro digital del Patrimonio.
Se aceptarán comunicaciones orales y pósteres en español, inglés, portugués, francés e italiano. Las propuestas deben enviarse a congresobayra@gmail.com

The III International Archaeology Congress Bayra: «City or Madina: Medieval and Post-Medieval urban spaces» will be held in Vera (Almería, Spain) from May 13 to 15, 2026. The event is organized by the Vera City Council, the University of Granada, and the Research Group «Production, Exchange and Materiality» PRINMA (HUM 1035). Collaborators: Project FCT-24-21462 Connecting Past and Future: Science and Technology for the Dissemination of Medieval Archaeological Heritage (CITPAM), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology.
Following the success of the first and second edition, the III International Archaeology Congress Bayra will bring together specialists in archaeology, archaeology of architecture, and related fields to discuss the city and housing in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period. The congress aims to foster the exchange of ideas, the presentation of research results, and the establishment of collaborative networks. In addition, one day will be dedicated to heritage enhancement, reflecting on the management, funding, and digital future of Cultural Heritage.
Oral presentations and posters will be accepted in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, and Italian. Proposals must be sent to congresobayra@gmail.com.
