El III Congreso Internacional de Arqueología Bayra: “Ciudad o Madina: los espacios urbanos medievales y postmedievales” se celebrará en Vera (Almería) entre el 13 y el 15 de mayo de 2026; organizado por el Ayuntamiento de Vera, la Universidad de Granada y el Grupo de Investigación Producción Intercambio Materialidad PRINMA (HUM 1035). Colaboran: Proyecto FCT-24-21462 Conectando Pasado y Futuro: Ciencia y Tecnología para la difusión del Patrimonio Arqueológico Medieval (CITPAM), financiado por el Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades y la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología. El Congreso reunirá a especialistas en arqueología, arqueología de la arquitectura y disciplinas afines para debatir sobre la ciudad y la vivienda en la Edad Media y la Edad Moderna. El Congreso busca fomentar el intercambio de ideas, la presentación de resultados y la creación de redes de colaboración.
El objetivo primordial del III Congreso Internacional de Arqueología Bayra es contribuir al avance del conocimiento sobre el urbanismo medieval, la vivienda y los espacios los espacios domésticos en la Edad Media y Edad Moderna, integrando diferentes enfoques.
El ánimo del III Congreso Internacional de Arqueología Bayra es reunir a investigadores de distintos campos para exponer sus avances, debatir resultados y proponer nuevas líneas de investigación conjuntas. Se presentarán resultados de proyectos recientes, estados de la cuestión, y se expondrán distintas metodologías y técnicas de estudio.
Además, se dedicará una jornada a la puesta en valor del patrimonio, reflexionando sobre la gestión, financiación y futuro digital del Patrimonio.

The III International Archaeology Congress Bayra: “City or Madina: Medieval and Post-Medieval urban spaces” will take place in Vera (Almería, Spain) from May 13 to May 15, 2025. The event is organized by the Vera City Council, the University of Granada, and the Research Group Producción Intercambio Materialidad PRINMA (HUM 1035), with the collaboration of Project FCT-24-21462 Connecting Past and Future: Science and Technology for the Dissemination of Medieval Archaeological Heritage (CITPAM), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. The Congress will bring together specialists in archaeology, archaeology of architecture, and related fields to discuss the city and housing in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period. The congress aims to foster the exchange of ideas, the presentation of research results, and the establishment of collaborative networks.
The primary objective of the III International Congress on Bayra Archaeology is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge on medieval urbanism, housing, and domestic spaces in the Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period, integrating different approaches.
The aim of the III International Congress on Bayra Archaeology is to bring together researchers from different fields to present their latest findings, discuss results, and propose new lines of joint research. Results from recen projects and state-of-the-art reviews will be presented, along with a range of methodologies and research techniques.
Additionally, a day will be dedicated to the enhancement of heritage, reflecting on the management, funding, and digital future of Cultural Heritage.
