THE AIECM3
The AIECM3 is an international society which promotes and reinforces the study of medieval and modern period pottery in the Mediterranean. Established in 1992 (as the AIECM2) at the initiative of a group founding researchers from different Mediterranean countries. In 2012, on the occasion of the Silvès meeting, it was decided to enlarge the organisation’s research remit to include the study of ceramics of the modern era, and leading to it being renamed the AIECM3. The society organises triennial plenary congresses and occasional thematic meetings, and ensures the regular publication of the Acts.
