Raimundo Jiménez is Associate Professor in the Department of Optics at the University of Granada and teaches in the Degree in Optics and Optometry, as well as in the Master’s Degree in Clinical Optometry and Advanced Optics at the University of Granada. He obtained the Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as the Bachelor of Science in Optics and Optometry, both at the University of Granada. Raimundo completed his PhD in 1999 about the evolution of refractive status according to age and environmental factors in a school population. Raimundo has participated in several research projects and has supervised three doctoral theses in last 5 years.

His research work is focused on the analysis of visual function in clinical populations and ocular optical quality, as well as on pediatric optometry and sport vision. Raimundo is currently co-author of more than 60 articles in scientific journals and numerous communications in international and national congresses.
