🌿💧 Custodia del territorio en acción.
La Universidad de Granada, a través de MEMOLab y en colaboración con la Diputación de Granada, ha sido reconocida en el 7º Inventario de iniciativas de custodia del territorio en España (2020-2023), elaborado por la Fundación Biodiversidad del MITECO.
👉 Entre 2022 y 2023 hemos firmado 7 acuerdos de custodia con comunidades de regantes históricas y tradicionales de Andalucía, protegiendo casi 5.000 hectáreas donde el agua se gestiona de manera comunal.
Este reconocimiento pone en valor la importancia de la gobernanza comunitaria, la conservación del patrimonio cultural y la restauración de la naturaleza. 🌱
Y seguimos sumando: desde 2023 hemos impulsado 17 nuevos acuerdos con comunidades de regantes andaluzas.

The University of Granada, through MEMOLab and in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Granada, has been recognized in the 7th Inventory of Land Stewardship Initiatives in Spain (2020-2023), prepared by the Biodiversity Foundation of MITECO.
👉 Between 2022 and 2023, we signed 7 stewardship agreements with historic and traditional irrigation communities in Andalusia, protecting nearly 5,000 hectares where water is communally managed.
This recognition highlights the importance of community governance, the conservation of cultural heritage, and the restoration of nature. 🌱
And we keep moving forward: since 2023 we have promoted 17 new agreements with Andalusian irrigation communities.
