Aquí os compartimos nuestro último artículo, en el que analizamos varias iniciativas recientes, y muy interesantes, sobre el reconocimiento y apoyo a los sistemas comunales en España. En nuestro estudio analizamos tres iniciativas (la creación de la asociación Iniciativa Comunales, la Declaración de Valdeavellano de Tera, y el sistema de apoyo y revisión por pares de las candidaturas al Registro Internacional de ICCA) que, durante los últimos 12 años, buscaron el apoyo y reconocimiento a los sistemas comunales (comunidades de regantes, cofradías de pesca, montes vecinales en mano común, etc.) y las ICCA (áreas conservadas por comunidades locales, también conocidas como Territorios de Vida) a nivel de todo el estado. El MEMOLab-UGR estuvo implicado desde los comienzos (principalmente apoyando la labor de las comunidades de regantes históricas y tradicionales) y sigue participando activamente. Un paso más para entender y apoyar más y mejor a estos sistemas a través del estudio y difusión de sus sobresalientes valores sociales, económicos y ambientales.

Here we share our latest article, in which we analyze several recent and very interesting initiatives on the recognition and support of communal systems in Spain. In our study, we analyze three initiatives (the creation of the Iniciativa Comunales association, the Declaration of Valdeavellano de Tera, and the support and peer review system for applications to the International Register of ICCAs) that, over the last 12 years, sought support and recognition of communal systems (irrigation communities, fishing associations, communal forests, etc.) and ICCAs (local community conserved areas, also known as Territories of Life) throughout Spain. The MEMOLab-UGR was involved from the beginning (mainly supporting the work of historical and traditional irrigation communities) and continues to participate actively. This is one more step toward better understanding and supporting these systems through the study and dissemination of their outstanding social, economic, and environmental values.
