Today we share with all of you the summary of the Christmas German-English baking contest organized by Rebecca Cramer and Ana Díaz Negrillo, both of them professors of the Department of English and German. It took place at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (Granada) on December 19 and it was really fun! Take a look at this video and the photo album!
Around 30 students and professors participated in this contest that opened the Christmas vacation period. However, only 4 of them were proclaimed winners of the contest. Fatima Taam was the winner of the German section, and Sandra Jiménez and Beatriz Romero, the winners of the English section. On top of that, the English jury (Miguel Ángel Martínez-Cabeza and Celia Margaret Wallhead, professors of the Department) awarded Juan Santana (professor of the Department as well) a special mention as the winner of the professors section within the English section.
In the name of The Philologist UGR’s team I would like to congratulate both Rebecca Cramer and Ana Díaz Negrillo for their work and the success of this contest; this was a really lovely and fun initiative. And, of course, we would like to congratulate each and every one of the participants who cooked such delicious and creative recipes. We hope they can organize more activities like this one!
